In addition to directing a successful business, he contributes to his community as a sitting member of The Doorway Society and Calgary Marketing Association. 
He received the Governor General Award of Canada and the Prestigious Mountbatten Medal by Governor General Micheal Jean and HRH Prince Michael of Kent in London, England.
